KUR'PUPU: ZETT'LBUGS, PART 1
Before shapeshifting, the Kur'Pupu must obtain a neural analysis of the target creature, which is obtained through the use of a strange insect, native to Kur'Plattur, called a zett'lbug. A Kur'Pupu will carry a supply of zett'lbugs, specially trained to transmit over the high frequencies which the Kur'Pupu can receive if "listening" nearby. The insect, which has the appearance of a tiny glass shard, is attached (often using a blowgun) to a facial orifice of the target creature, usually the eyelid.
